Sunday Suggestions #5

Happy Sunday everyone!

Another Sunday is arrived and my post, about some of my favourite things I’ve done or read which I’d like to share with you, is ready!

By now I think you understood that the first thing I always write about in these posts is a restaurant/ coffee place / food place in general, which I’ve been to and really liked.

Today I’ll talk about this awesome cute cafΓ¨ that’s in hometown (Padova, Italy). Before showing you some pictures a telling more I have to say that probably this place won’t be that special for those of you who live outside Italy πŸ˜€ The reason why I say this is because when I’m abroad I often see places like these but in Italy well…it’s really rare!! We do not have Starbucks/CaffΓ¨ Nero/ Costa/Any coffee chain you know because, a part from young people, the other part of the population wouldn’t appreciate that kind of coffee, we are used to another kind, as you can read here πŸ˜‰

That’s why, when this placed opened my friends and I were soooo excited! It’s called The Coffee Box and it’s positioned in the very centre of the city. Besides the cosy and absolutely nice internal design of the place which definitely makes you feel like home, also the food and beverage they serve is really good! You can both just take a coffee and pastry or have a quick lunch, for example they have these little jar with quinoa salads or different kinds of bagel!

When I went there during this summer I always got their version of “summer (soy) Chai latte” which is absolutely delicious and refreshing! (Plus, again, Chai latte here in Italy is not even known so the fact they had it here was really a big deal for me!! :D)

Talking about prices, they are medium, if you’re taking a “special” thing the price could be over the average but for normal stuff such as coffee, cappuccino, pastries… it’s just like going in an ordinary Italian bar plus, a really enjoyable environment! πŸ˜‰

The second topic I’d like to talk about with you today is: SELF LOVE.

I think self love is a matter that we have all personally faced at least once in life, I say at least because I believe there are many different reasons why this topic could come out. The most common one is when we compare ourselves to others, when we consider a person better than us and automatically we underestimate ourselves.Concerning this, the blogger of Waveringparisian wrote down this great list of suggestions about How To Stop Comparing Yourself To Others, which is definitely an open-eye thing to read.

Looking at myself, I have noticed that I often show my love to my friends, family, people surrounding me but at the end of the day there’s always something that doesn’t make me totally feel good with myself. I actually realised this after reading this post by Rosie Kelly from Hookupcultures where she wrote her thought about the quote “Love Yourself As Much As You Want To Be Loved” which is so true and accurate. On the other side, sometimes it’s also difficult to trust ourselves and the love we hold, about this Debbie from Forgivingconnects wrote this great post about how to accept this and being faithful to yourself.

Because, how Becca from Positiveplxntblog stated in this post: Self love is so important because at the end of the day, you’re your own longest commitment. When you feel at your lowest, it’s YOU who has the ability to pick yourself back up again.
Thank you for reading until here!

I hope you’re having a great day and… that you’re loving yourself!

The pictures you see of The Coffee Box were taken by my beloved friend Laura (yes, the same girl who took  the pictures of this post πŸ˜‰ )

    Hi Lisa,
Enjoying a nice cup of coffee and pastry at The Coffee Box is a great example of self-love. You’re right comparing ourselves to others kills our joy and peace. We must learn how to accept our flaws because for now it’s a part of who we are.
I seen your post over at Roberta’s party.
Thanks for sharing and I will be back soon,

Would it be ok if I nominated you for an award? You wouldn't have to do it if it isn't convenient.
