Review: Lunch at Hummus Bors & Ice-cream at Yorica Moments

Happy Sunday everyone!

Hope your December is going well, full of happy moments and memories to end this 2016 in the best way (can you believe another year is ending?! I don’t quite realise…)

Anyway, to add some taste&sweetness to this Sunday I have two amazing new foodie discoveries to share with you! The first one is a hummus chain which you can find in a few Neighbours in London called “Hummus Bros” already the name gives you an idea of which is the main dish they serve πŸ˜‰ Indeed, nearly all the meals they offer have a base of hummus from wraps to salads, falafel or warm dishes.

As a hummus lover I loved this concept but also the two friends I went there with who aren’t into hummus as I am were very happy with their meal. I opted for a falafel salad and as side (which is included in the meal price) I had some carrot sticks. One friend of mine took the Chicken with salsa & pickles wrap with added guacamole, while the other one had the “weekly special” salad which was made of hummus, Mexican flavoured meat and guacamole as side.

From the pictures it might seem that portions are not too big but I can assure that they absolutely were! Also, prices are on average, actually “medium-low” for the kind of products they offer (fresh and healthy πŸ˜‰ ) And yes, of course gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options are available (otherwise I couldn’t have gone there… πŸ˜€ )

Unfortunately I do not have many pictures of the interior look of the shop due to the fact there were many people, but it was neat and on line with the style of their concept!

Now, what if after this full-filling lunch you’re full but there’s always that little space for dessert waiting to be filled up? πŸ™‚ Then here comes the second foodie suggestion of the day! A vegan, gluten-free & guilt-free ice cream spot! The place is named Yorica and it’s located in Soho, right in the centre of London πŸ™‚

Not only they have many flavours of ice cream and toppings available but also smoothies, forzen-yogurts and from a few days even crepes! And yes, as stated before EVERYTHING is vegan & gluten free! I tried a small cup thinking to have just a taste of two favour but it was actually a quite big portion! I tried peanut butter & chocolate with ginger and despite not being a chocolate lover it was amazing! My friend tried strawberry and vanilla with Oreo as topping and it looked very nice as well.

Prices are medium-high but the portions are definitely bigger than expected! They also have space inside where to sit and the interior decoration is very cosy. Oh and if you want to add colour and sparkle to your cup there are also suppliers with toppings that are free too add (which of course are different from the priced ones πŸ˜‰ )

The last topic I’d like to talk about it’s actually a suggestion I’d like for you! I am changing the logo of the blog thanks to the help of a course mate and I’d like to hear your opinion about it! The final logo we came up with is this one below, please share your comments and thoughts, I’d love to hear from you πŸ™‚

Happy foodie & Christmassy Sunday! πŸ™‚

Hummus Bros is one of my fav lunch spots in the city, simple but delicious! More importantly though I have never heard of this ice cream place and I am a devote gelato lover so thank you for putting this on my London hit list!

Ciao!
