Sunday Suggestions #12

Hello dear readers!

Yes, after ages, I’m back with my Suday Suggestions posts!
First semester exams are finally over so I have now more time to dedicate to one of my favourite activities: reading your posts!

But, before moving to this topic I NEED YOUR HELP! As many of you already know, I’m a final year Marketing student and final year = dissertation is awaiting. I’m actually quite excited about it since I was able to pick up a topic which interested me (guess which one? Yep, travels!) and combining it with my studies. Because of this, for the research I need to collect data and I would be so glad if you could help me with this! The thing is very simple: IF YOU ARE A WOMAN LIVING IN EUROPE, AGED BETWEEN 22 AND 38 I’d kidly ask you to complete this 2-minutes survey which you can fill out by clicking HERE. Of course feel free to share share shareee it with people you know that could fit the description, the more respondants the better! 😉

Okay after this little shout-out here we go with the interesting reads 🙂

Actually, the reads I’m sharing today with you were very useful during my exams: coping with stress is not easy and I like changing techniques to get rid of it to give my best. Plus, I’m sure we’ll all agree that stress can also come during daily routine, not just when we have exams or tough challenges. So, I hope these posts will be a useful inspiration to get rid of bad thoughts and just thinking about giving your best!
The first post I really enjoyed is written by Stephanie from I can very much relate to her “4 Tricks for a Happier and Less Stressed You ” especially the #1 tip: Planning ahead. I think that one you know exactly what you have to do, maybe by writing it down on a list, it is way easier to get it done without panicking if you can actually make it.

The second post about this topic which I loved is “5 Ways That Help Me To Deal With Anxiety” by Lauren from One of the points she listed is “Take time out for yourself” and I couldn’t agree more! For example taking a break from what you’re working on or in general taking a break to dedicate totally to yourself is very helpful especially to get new energy and inspiration 🙂

The last post I’d suggest you to read is ” 5 Tips on Taming your Stress Monster “. Seonaid from wrote down these 5 steps to accept how you’re feeling and actually make the most out of it. My favourtie point  is “shredding your ‘to do’ list if you’re reading my blog since a while you’ll know that I’m a list-lover but yeah, sometimes prioritising some stuff, especially when I’m stressed, and concentrate only on the things which I really can’t wait to do till tomorrow, is the best solution to calm down 🙂

Which are your tips to de-stress and managing to give your best even in tough situations? I’d love to hear from you! 🙂

This post was written by Lisa, an Italian girl globetrotting around Europe, blues&soul music lover and singer, addicted to crafting & healthy food. Oh yes, and in the meanwhile she’s a Marketing student.

Mmmm what else? She’s definitely a morning person, really lazy when it comes to make up and could spend more time in a stationary store than in a clothes one –

She loves sharing thoughts, feelings and reactions so do not hesitate to comment or contact her!

Congrats on starting the final year of your degree and good luck on the dissertation! It’s so wonderful that you have found a project that excites you. Also, good luck with exams and with the coping with stress. Are you still singing? Taking a break to enjoy something creative and fun is something that always refreshes and de-stresses me. Someone once told me that the most important things in life are the things that are most “useless” (like art, or watching a baseball game, or going to a dinner with friends). The other thing that I fall back on when I’m trying to cope is prayer and meditation.

Hope you get all the data you need! You must post updates about your research!

    1. Thank you Lulu, so nice of you! Yes I am still singing and it’s probably the best way for me to de-stress 🙂

I focus on breathing in deeply and exhaling, just calming down, then reflect on my thoughts on how I can improve the situation. This is all after I let myself have a little meltdown, of course. 🙂 Lastly, I like to write my thoughts in a journal as well. It’s my way of venting in a different way.

    1. Oh that’s a great technique as well!Thank you for sharing Angie! 🙂
